Pro Design Tips:
When it comes to Painting Metal Cabinets or any Metal Surface its best to use an Oil Base Primer before Painting. The Oil Base Primer bonds to the metal unlike most Latex Primers and Paints which will ensure the Paint will not chip, bubble, or peel over time.

Before & After Pictures

Before & After pictures of some Kitchen Cabinets we painted in Pelican Watch in Carolina Beach N.C. The cabinets hadn't ever been painted before so first we sanded the cabinets and removed all of the hardware and hinges. Then we used an oil base primer to ensure that the paint would bond to the surface. After that we painted the cabinets and installed all new hardware on them. 
We also replaced all of the old trim and doors in the condo. Then we painted the ceilings, walls, trim and doors as you can see below.
Below is a house in Forest Hills where we painted another set of kitchen cabinets using the same methods as above. It is hard to tell in the photos but the cabinets are actually a very slight blue. The couple had just moved into this house and were delighted after we painted the cabinets and all of the ceilings, walls, trim, and doors.
